God created an amazingly beautiful place and has allowed my heart to be knitted together with it. Clear water as smoothe as glass or white capping in the afternoon wind, greens and deep blue depths more beautiful than saphires adn emeralds; granite boulders and rock hopping; tan-orange sand, deep blue sky, white billowing clouds; mahogany runabouts, Chris Crafts and GarWoods, Hackers and Centurys (OK, I’ve never had one, but Tahoe and mahogany go together like breathe and air); mountain summer thunder storms and hail, lightning striking the waters; rainbow, German brown, crawdads and crayfish; Mount Tallac unimpressive in height but more beautiful to my eyes than Shuksan, Rainier or the Matterhorn; ponderosa pines and manzanita; pine cones and needles. I count it a privilege to be able to be here from time to time. I am thankful for all the work around the Lake I’ve seen to preserve and even restore Tahoe’s pristine waters.
Please don’t tell anyone of my addiction to the Lake. Thanks.
