Teri Vance

Teri Vance grew up on a working ranch in eastern Nevada. Her formative years were spent pushing cattle, riding horses and getting her education in a three-room school house where she discovered her love for writing. A really terrible ranch hand, Teri focused mostly on her studies and in high school decided she wanted to become a reporter. After graduation, she enrolled at the University Nevada, Reno where she majored in journalism. Taking time off from school, Teri went to Ecuador for a year and a half as a missionary. There, she became fluent in Spanish and added it as a major upon her return to the U.S. Her first job in journalism came at the Nevada Appeal. She's been there for eight years, beginning as an education writer and eventually being promoted to the position of features editor.
